The Wilhelminapark in Venlo is one of the oldest parks in Venlo. It is located on the northwest side of the centre. The park was built after 1870, when the fortifications were demolished. In the villa park (as it was called at that time) eventually some villas with names like: Goltzius (1893), Puteanus (1893), Sophia (1897), Wilhelmina (1898) and Hermine (1900). Between 1909 and 1933 eleven more single and two double villas were built. The villa park was then named Wilhelmina Park.
